Looking like it was found in the bottom of a kitchen drawer?
…behind all the glitz and glamour of the Christmas façades?
A rubbish compactor!
Forestry equipment left derelict. Note the graffiti in the rear engine compartment.
There are many places in Adelaide that we never see as we rush headlong through the day…
Just the façade left and even the door and windows have been removed and the spaces boarded up.
I wonder who lived there.
West End of Adelaide.
I found out the other day, that little laneways used to be called snickets!
While this is a verandah at the back of our shopping centre, the lighting made me think of snickets.
My new favourite word.
I’ll admit it – I’ve been watching “Dr. Who” since the 60’s, and not even “Planet of the Spiders” gave me the creeps as much as the “Weeping Angels” does. So after not seeing the landscape along North Terrace, Adelaide, for decades, when the bus rounded the corner a few months ago, I at last saw this concrete horror in the front of one of Adelaide’s older homes on North Terrace. I don’t mind admitting that my stomach actually lurched at the sight.
It still gives me the creeps!
The god in this case being commerce, and the machine the retail stores.
But which one runs the other?
To the “vanishing point”, where all things converge.
Springtime in Adelaide.
